Keep your spot with these super-cute DIY bookmarks by Mollie Johanson. They come in stylish pencil, band-aid, pickle, bacon, and ruler varieties. Just print, cut-out, and use flexible magnetic tape for the holding action. Step-by-step instructions here.
These little guys are certainly adorable! Get the free pattern from Mochimochi Land here.
Mother’s Day is right around the corner (May 9th) and Etsy has some cute and unconventional greeting cards for the occasion. Here are some of my favorites:
This Munny custom was made by Silvia Portella for the 2009 MunnyWorld Custom Contest. Needless to say, this little guy was picked as one of the five winners and will be featured in an upcoming Munny exhibition in NYC. Silvia is a very talented freelance illustrator living in Germany and designed this Munny as a woodland creature (Mütze means wool hat in German) – view more of Silvia’s creations here.
LEGOs can be used to make just about anything! Angus MacLane, an animator at PIXAR, however, makes the awesomest pop-culture characters using a 3×3 scale and super-deformed (big head, small body) proportions. You can see his 100+ figures on Flickr, or read a behind-the-scenes interview here. (via The Coolist)
Joanna Rutter creates precious silver & gold jewelry using traditional metal-working techniques and her own illustration designs. Joanna’s Etsy shop is filled with beautifully-crafted necklaces, pins, rings, and earrings. You can also read an interview with Joanna or visit her blog.
Sharks like water.. so it makes perfect sense that they would like to wrap their mouths (or bodies?) around your sweaty water bottle. Handamade’s Etsy Shop sells these menacing Water Bottle Cozies, along with some comfy Apple Jackets and a bunch of friendly Cuptopus Coffee Sleeves.
