The appeal of magnetic jewelry is the customization – just snap any of KLIK KLIK’s 300 nickel-plated neodymium magnets (one kit is $65) together to form hundreds of different bracelets, necklaces, and more. It’s fun to play with and rearrange, but also quite pretty!
Swarovski sells plenty of questionably ugly items.. but these character pendants, while trying to be cute and sparkly, fail oh-so-miserably. Jewelry is supposed to be elegant and pretty, not look like some 5-year-old’s bedazzle experiment. Even worse, they sell for $220-$260 each (charms and key-rings are $100) and seem to be popular enough to have renewed themes each season (currently it’s nature). I just cannot picture a grown adult actually wearing one of these..
